Oh no, the plinth is empty. 12th September 2014

I am a complete idiot. When the Senior Assistant Keeper was going home I pottered out to her car with her, armed with a bag of willow cuttings from my garden and a mop to use to close the skip, and whilst we were chatting she noticed that the young Alpaca was lying on the "plinth". I said I must take a photograph, but after a panic over the mop being locked out of the zoo kitchen and then saying goodbye it went completely out of my head. Aaaargh, that will probably have been my only chance for a classic plinth photograph as the Alpacas and Sheep are due to vacate this paddock very soon. I took this photograph 1 3/4 hours later!
