Twycross Malayan Tapir Enclosure

What is currently in there as it says Giraffe staff only on the sign? Are there tapirs in there? do you know whats in there?

Madge the female is the only tapir left, but the enclosure has been fenced off since last year when her baby died.

Oh right so there is a tapir in there, Malaysian (Black and White?). Do you know if there are any plans for her to be let into an enclosure anytime soon or to go back on display. The black and white tapirs are my favorite. I didn't realize they still had one.

Dragon, it's only the indoor accommodation. There is a decent sized paddock as well

Yeah, The tapirs have literally almost a field with also a good sized sanded area with a swimming pool too on the other side. So how come it is currently taped off? Do you think that she will be on show again soon? I wish they'd do something with the chimp accomo nearby! you know the old gorilla house?

Its currently empty apart from the spare Tufted Deer male.

Well last week when i visted twycross, we pulled in off the road and saw madge in the large grass paddock having its breakfast so it must be let into both of its inclosures.

so are there no black & white tapirs at twycross anymore?
