as you may be able to tell, it was raining quite heavily at times during my visit. And then it stopped when I was leaving. 1 November 2012

      Is this the flightless species? I can see stumpy little wings- or are the flight feathers just growing in from a moult?

      yep, the Campbell and Auckland Island teal are both flightless
