      I wondered about that myself, as it appears that the rhino is bathing in some type of radioactive waste! Maybe the animal will turn into a Batman villain...

      probably it's a natural pond and cannot be drained.

      When I saw this pond in 1997 it was just muddy brown water with no green colour at all

      I wonder if it depends on what time of the year a person visits, as when I was there in July it was a scorching summer day.

      sounds like a nice algae bloom...it probably doesnt help that he defecates in there too.

      I might be bucking a trend here but surely the water in the wild will experience changes in make up depending on the time of year too .
