Crested Wood Partridge

Ok how on earth do I get rid of the fence? Seriously. I and fencing do not get along. I had a couple good photos like this one ruined by fence.

They're impossible to blur out when the animal is this close to the fence. Fencing can only usually be blurred out when the animal is far away from the fence.

Awesome. Great tip. Now do I also need to be further to from the fence too? I had the same problem with the gorillas who were far from the fence.

Getting as close to the fence as possible, trying to shot through the openings is best. Clearly that's not always possible, so you have to try you best to do that from further away. Also, the fencing at the gorillas are the worst because it's a white fencing. It showing up more in the pictures due to the gorillas being black.

Makes sense. Thank for your tips. I hopefully will get another crack at the zoo this year and will try some of your tips then. I dont have much reason to practice beyond that.

Glad to help. The type of fencing makes a big difference on how the picture will come out.
