Bronx Zoo- Jungleworld- Rodrigues Flying Foxes Roosting
February 23rd, 2012 Some Rodrigues flying foxes roosting in the treetops in Jungleworld. These should not be confused with the Indian flying foxes, which arrived in mid-March and live in the tapir exhibit. I am not quite sure why these are exhibited in Jungleworld, as they are not from Southeast Asia, but an island in the middle of the Indian Ocean called Rodrigues, which belongs to Mauritius. Is that considered SE Asia?
