We used to have Brown Capuchin Monkeys in here, but I have no idea where they went. I thought maybe the zoo shipped them off somewhere else, but during Monkey Business weekend, it said on the Squirrel Monkey fact sheet they like to play with the Capuchin monkeys. Maybe someone with the Buffalo Zoo phone ap. could find the answer.
When I visited in late July, there was one capuchin hanging out on one of the branches. Is this the only one on display here, or is it rotated with the other capuchins?
One did reappear early spring and before I left I believe I may have saw two of them. ISIS says the zoo has 2 males and 3 females. I'm guessing some of them are just behind the scenes. I know this was the case for the longest time with their two sloths. The male is still on exhibit, but the female is off exhibit ever since she learned how to escape from her exhibit.
