Brazos River Country

Portion of Balck Bear exhibit with a flock of wild Black Vultures. From what I've been told the vultures used to roost in a nearby area where they were disturbed by dynamite blasting and so they moved and took up permanant residence at the zoo.

      that is awesome! I'm sure the zoo and a lot of the visitors aren't entirely happy with the birds, but I like it!! Probably a good opportunity for education aspects as well.

      I heard one of the visitors ask in a hushed voice to her husband "is that bear close to dying? Maybe we should get the kids out of here....that would be so traumatic"
