Sep. 2016 - Jungle Trails - Interior of the African Animals Building

As you enter the final attraction of Jungle Trails, you are met with a low ceiling filled with netting and fake vines and euonymus. The first small room contains three identical sized tanks in a nocturnal setting. From right to left these exhibits contain pottos, greater bushbabies, and a grey bamboo lemur. The path leads you to this location and perspective shown in the photo. It is customary for guests to take the right path and are shortly looped back around to the left side. On the right you can see the indoor Coquerel's sifaka exhibit. Not to far down is a large meshed aviary filled with birds such as crested couas, hammerkops, an African pygmy goose, Congo peafowl, red-and-yellow barbets, and spur-winged plovers. Across from this aviary is a small terrarium built within the walls of a log. It's always contained scorpions until last year when it they were replaced with Zophobas Darkling Beetles. The next habitat is located at the end of the building, extending itself all the way to the same width of the path. This is a large indoor exhibit for their bonobos. The path leads you back towards the exit when you pass a very tall, and very dark aye-aye enclosure. Lastly, seen in the photo, is a medium sized exhibit for a Dumeril's boa.
