I was so happy to see that species again, many, many years after Frankfurt has stopped keeping them, they replaced them to owston's civets. Unfortunately, they had to send awy the last of them also to another zoo. A few british zoos keep and breed them, and Newquay Zoo ah dthem on the zooguidebook cover two years ago ! It was not easy to do that picture, you know, if civits are active, they mostly in movement all the time....And it is not easy to do pictures in a nocturnal house. was this picture of the banded palm civet actually at the cleveland zoo? it looks like columbus zoo from the wall in the backround.
@CleZooMan I was a frequent zoo visitor back then. Never saw one at zoo. And I covered all exhibits. They never had this species.
