Columbus Zoo - Orangutan Exhibit

The one main climbing structure in a poorly designed exhibit. The ugly grey wall and terraced lawn does not invoke images of an Indonesian rainforest. I constantly praise the excellent Columbus Zoo, but looking back this orang habitat is sadly lacking in quality.

This is the only exhibit, I wont defend. While I have to stand up for the least appreciated region (Islands of Southeast Asia) I do not approve of this exhibit. I have seen some of the earlier concepts for the region that looked a lot better than the region we currently have.

However, after Polar Frontier, African Savannah, and South America are built I think this will be the first region to receive a makeover.
