      A sandhill crane in the spacious exhibit found adjacent to the American alligators in Alligator Alley.

      Finally, you posted pics in the Beardsley Zoo gallery:)! Now I'm not the only one posting pics in this gallery!
      This is quite a spacious exhibit isn't it? Just like all the exhibits in Alligator Alley (except the Red Fox exhibit.) Wouldn't it be nice to see chicks here?:cool:

      Indeed, it would. I just hope the "average zoo visitors", as we call them, don't mistake them for a completely different species! :p

      I can imagine it now; "Son, look at those little chickens with those big birds!":D

      It seems that chicks will inhabit the enclosure soon, due to the female laying an egg.

      By now the chick must have hatched, so hopefully I can make a visit soon to see the chick of one of my favorite bird species.
