      ANY waterfall that comes from the highest point of the enclosure is nonsensical - which happens to be the vast majority of the ones i've seen

      and I know you like San Diego's gorilla exhibit, but that also includes an odd waterfall

      It may just be the angle on the photo, but to me that waterfall looks like it is coming from the top of the rock work...

      (if it isn't then I take what i said back, I'm mature enough to know when i'm wrong)

      Te rock work is on the side of the enclosure so it makes perfect sense, like a river flowing over a cliff, thus a waterfall.

      I like the waterfall, and i'm sure the macaques appreciate it in the summer too.
