      Thank you. This is a wild one, but there were a ton of them flying in and out of the flamingo pond. Later at Zoo Miami they were all over the outdoor café looking for handouts. White ibis are like pigeons in south Florida.

      Is it just me or do the outer 3 feathers on each wing look like they have been clipped or damaged in some way.

      they do look like that but it is because the outer feathers are black. If you look closely you can see them against the background (just!).

      Look on google images for photos of this species flying against the sky and you'll see what I mean.

      Didn't see the black wing tips at first but knowing what I was looking for meant I could see it.
