This Himalayan-inspired area looks like a nice entry for this complex without being too overpowering in theme. It appears that this cultural theming does not extend into the habitats themselves, is that true? Specifically, there are no prayer flags draped above the Pallas cat etc.
Yes, the human elements are largely confined to the visitor areas and the cat exhibits are landscaped naturally. Ok yes the snow leopard is slightly themed but it feels more like necessary containment and is minimal. The tiger lean-to is certainly minimal too, so those who hate cultural intrusions should be happy with this complex from that standpoint.
I agree. By and large it has the feeling of being in the village, looking out into the forest. Very well done in my opinion.
