What species is in this exhibit? I'm not sure what a Sri Lankan hulman is? Is it a langur species (purple-faced possibly)? Do you know the scientific name? Thanks.

I really like Antwerp's monkey house and should make a return visit soon.

Any other particular rarities in there? Sorry but I haven't been since 2002.

latin name is "Semnopithecus priam thersites", correct english name is Sri Lanka Grey Langur.

Other rarities in the house are the potto and the owlfaced guenons.

I think maybe the Owl-faced Monkeys have dwindled to one(or none) now?

As they have refurbished this exhibit with an 'indian temple' theme, will they try to get more Langurs-it seems a waste of money to have done that if these will be the last of the species here.

Both animals died. This exibit now houses javan langur. In the same building there are 1.1 owl-faced monkey, potto, red vari, geoffry's spider monkey, celebes crested macaque, golden lion tamarin, pygmee marmoset, goeldi's monkey, emperor tamarin, colobus monkey and white-eared marmoset. Outside are mandrill and Hamadryas baboon.

It's one of my favourite buildings in Antwerp.
