ZOO Antwerpen - Bird House (Asia)
The Asian forest exhibit inside the Bird House in ZOO Antwerpen. This little piece of Asia houses: - Chestnut-bellied sandgrouse (Pterocles exustus) - Crested wood partridge (Rollulus rouloul) - Peking robin (Leiothrix lutea) - Fairy bluebird (Irena puella) - Mindanao bleeding-heart (Gallicolumba crinigera) - Red-flanked lorikeet (Charmosyna placentis placentis) The Bird House opened in 1948 and houses a huge variety of tropical birds ranging from the common to the very rare.
