ZOO Antwerpen - Birds of Prey Aviaries (Monk vulture)

One of the two aviaries for monk vultures (Aegypius monachus) in ZOO Antwerpen. The monk vulture is one of the flagship species of the KMDA and one of its main conservation efforts. The Bird of Prey aviaries that were originally built as part of the Jubilee Complex which opened in 1968 to celebrate the zoo’s 125th anniversary (also including the Nocturama, Aquaforum and Carnivore exhibits).
