      I\'ve spent ages going through two different field guides to try and work this out but I\'m still not sure. I hate identifying waders.
      The one on the left is a Red-capped Plover of course.
      I believe these two are the same species as the one in the other picture but are different individuals. I don\'t have any different views of these individuals.

      I think they're red-necked stints. I can't see what else they would be really.

      Looks like a good ID to me, but would you say that's sure enough to count?

      well there's four (?) species of stints recorded in Australia but only the red-necked is likely. With their size I would be happy with it. I might suggest posting on Birdforum for some other opinions (from better wader IDers than me!).

      I posted on BirdForum and got an agreement and I'm pretty happy with that ID too so I'll go with Red-necked Stint. :)
