Wow! You've posted one fantastic cat photo after another!

Aww jaguar cubs do look cute, but they are pretty much bound to grow up to be human haters :p These are supposed to be THE worst animal to excape from a zoo.

I find that surprising, since they are one of the only big cats known to NOT attack people in the wild. In fact, the very first (and only) confirmed case of a wild jaguar killing a human being happened last year in the Brazilian Pantanal - in an area where tour operators had been baiting jaguars (which likely contributed to the attack on the sleeping fisherman).

Thats because they are alot better at being invisible. There have been much more attacks on humans. heres one i found:

Interesting - I had not heard of that one. Thanks for posting this link. I should point out, however, the article does state "attacks on people are rare."

This is such a cool photo. I also love the pictures that you posted of the white tiger family playing in the rain at the cat zoo in France.

I know that you are working on a book on Southwest US zoos, but have you ever considered putting a book or magazine article together on cat conservation in zoos and the wild? Your photography is spectacular.

I did have an article a few years ago in a domestic cat magazine called I Love Cats about U.S. wild cat centers.

A cat book is a long-term (lifetime?) project. I want to photograph every species, but getting the last few may require a miracle.

I am also extremely interested in any cats featuring alternate color morphs. I have several black cats, a few white cats, but the holy grail of cat morphs for me would be the "ocelot" form of the asian golden cat.
