My Sons Viewing Lion Exhibit

The Lions were hiding in the shade, which made them virtually impossible to photograph.

Are your sons hardcore zoo fans like you, or are they just humouring their father?:) I have a 7-month old daughter, and I'm already teaching her to adore zoos!

I'm sure they are if Blackduiker started 'training' them early. You certainly have, Snowleopard! ;)

I like this exhibit as a photographer as you can put a camera lense through the fence. However I'm a bit concerned as it seems easy to climb over the fence. I hope no zoo will have to go through what San Francisco Zoo has had to go through (first the tiger escape, then the jackass who jumped down to the Grizzlies ...)

They'll go whenever mom and dad are paying, and enjoy new zoos to explore. Though most trips out-of-town now usually only include mom and dad. This was a one night stopover returning to Los Angeles from our trip to the Grand Canyon. They have the love of zoos instilled in them since babies in strollers though. Just like snowleopard's little one now. Besides the Los Angeles Zoo where they literally grew up, they've visited San Diego Zoo and WAP, Disney's Animal Kingdom, Honolulu, Santa Ana, Santa Barbara, Woodland Park, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Steinhart Aquarium, Aquarium of the Pacific, Waikiki Aquarium, Vancouver Aquarium and Monterey Bay Aquarium with me. So yes, they have zoos in their blood!

I'm guessing that slope in the exhibit is much steeper - and further from the fence - than it looks?

      Yes. MUCH.

      That's a relief!
