lion exhibit
From one of the glass viewing windows; there is a second glass area visible on the upper right edge of the photo. Next to that is a harpwire viewing area that was recently cleared of bamboo to provide better viewing. There is also a harpwire viewing area just to the right of this window (not shown in picture). The white spot on the rock wall is where the waterfall used to flow. When we got the young lioness pictured here, she was such a good jumper in the nighthouse that they were afraid she might jump on the rocks in exhibit and escape. So they installed a hotwire halfway up all the way around the exhibit, including where the waterfall was, so the waterfall has been shut off ever since.
