Lost Forest - Treetops Complex

November 2013. This complex consists of Albert\'s (fine dining), Treetops Cafe (casual counter-service dining), and Treetops Learning Center (indoor classroom/event space). It is an elevated building and deck that sits at the top of a hillside with great views across the zoo\'s Panda Canyon below.

It is a great complex - both in functionality and appearance. When you look at how tall the stilts are that hold the end of the platform above the canyon, it is also something of an engineering marvel. Whenever I visit with my cousin (and usually on my own), we have a tradition to sit on the very end table of this platform.

I was surprised on my last visit to see the gift shop had been converted to an education center.
