      @mweb08: do you know what the structures in the back are? Are they a gate for the actual trail part of the exhibit?
      Thanks for updating the elephant exhibit pictures, it really looks great!

      From looking at the pictures online, I believe they are to give the elephants access to another part of the enclosure. Does anyone know how many animals the elephant enclosure can hold?

      this looks like it could be the best asian elephant exhibit in north america

      On the web site, they are currently getting the three elephants used to the new barn, and Habitats 2 and 3. The trail part, I do believe, is not open yet because they are still getting used to the new exhibit.

      I have read that they can hold upwards to 10 elephants.

      Sadly, that is not very hard to do. (Africans seem to be getting the better exhibits).
