I know exactly how this will look when finished.I can even see t-shirts in the shop and if I pushed myself I could probably give a list of manufacturers of the trinkets which will be sold there. This is not due to any psychic abilities on my part, but rather experience having taught me that zoo african villages are all exact copies of each other, and that holds for all countries.African village shops / african village toilets, african village fast-food, african village rural accommodation.Only the name changes - Ituri Village / Kibongi Camp / Masai Reserve / etc.One of my fervent wishes is that this fad will blow over - the aesthetics and originality of zoo design would be hugely favoured.Rather than this photo of the village in construction, I would dearly love to see a demolition scene.
This is a tiny zoo and going by the scale of the development area and the species listed on the poster (photo uploading now - it includes crocs, Ring-tailed Lemurs, Meerkats, hornbills and hyraxes) the majority of these buildings will in fact be animal houses. (I strongly suspect they all will)
