What makes you say that elefante? It looks to me like numerous other Komodo dragon exhibits out there. It does look a bit unkempt with the leaves everywhere and the pond drained.
It looks barren and outdated. For some reason it reminds me of pictures I've seen of zoos in places like Indonesia.
I tend to agree with David - if the pool was filled, the leaves swept and the trees in leaf this would look very different.
Right. This is the outdoor exhibit area during the colder months when it is not in use. I'll try and upload a summer shot some time.
It's a shame: all those dead leaves caught on the roof mesh against the wall are a design flaw. That will always be a problem and difficult to keep clean.
That may be somewhat true. This complex was built as Zoo Boise's first "real" zoo exhibit. Nothing on this scale had ever been attempted there before this.
