There are a massive number of the "cookie-cutter" moats throughout the Miami Metrozoo, and some visitors have complained of the repetitive appearance of many of the enclosures. However, the moats allow for unobstructed viewing of the animals, with no bars, glass or mesh hiding the creatures. Also, most of the paddocks are very large and spacious, creating a natural environment that is perfect for hoofstock but not quite as successful for apes.
With more climbing frames in the ape (and sun bear) exhibits they could be really excellent because what the apes, especially the orang-utans) currentley have isn't enough imo.
