A male Tibetan gazelle at Beijing Zoo. He was pacing the side of his enclosure because a female was in the adjacent pen. Taken 19 Aug 2008.

      Wow, great Picture. The rare species would be the only reason to me, to visit this horrible zoo.

      Nice photograph of such an amzing antelope species, procapra gazelles must be amazing to actually see in real life, like zebraduiker said, I would totally go all the way to Beijing just to see such an amazing creature !!!

      Unfortunately, no more Tibetan gazelles at the zoo.

      But it is a goitered gazelle...... There is no stripe on the face and flank of Tibetan gazelle, and the snout of Tibetan gazelle is shorter.

      Yes, now that is think about it, this individual looks more like a Goitered gazelle, probably a Yarkand goitered gazelle (Gazella subgutturosa yarkandensis) to be exact
