This tank looks stunning and amazing. The water is so clear and the tank is very large in size as i can see.

What did you think of this tank Zooish? Did it live up to your hopes for the promise of River Safari?

Good picture. It is great to see such a large tank for these amazing freshwater fish.

This tank gets a thumbs up from me. Impressive size and a nice collection of rarities (most of the species in the tank though relatively common in aquaculture are endangered or critically endangered). It will get even more impressive as the fish continue to grow bigger.

It does look very impressive. I wish more American zoos and aquariums would exhibit these species.

Wait so did they actually captive wild Giant Freshwater Stingrays for this? Are they the only ones of their species in captivity?

This tank is all the more reason to visit Singapore!

the stingrays are two-year-olds that came from a commercial fish breeder in Thailand, but they were probably wild-caught. The other species in the tank are mostly farm-bred.

Have the Mekong Giant catfish and the Freshwater giant stingray ever been bred in captivity ?
