Hello!

One of the slow loris in the Singapore Zoo's off-exhibit holding facility. Each year dozens of slow loris are confiscated from illegal pet owners/smugglers by the authorities and sent to the zoo for housing or export.

      Yeah, they're adorable animals to work with, especially those that have been hand-raised.

      The only venomous primate in the world... What a species...

      The loris are exported to other zoos or back to a wildlife facility in their country of origin.

      And You don't happen to send them to European zoos, do You? As far as I know, Augsburg Zoo is desperately looking for a second specimen.

      Have they contacted Singapore Zoo? The problem with sending animals to Europe is ultimately cost. I'm quite sure we have a few surplus animals at the moment.

      @Zooish. Don't know, have to ask the next time. As it is a rather small zoo, I doubt they'll invest a lot of money-although they're willling to spend way too much on getting Southern white rhinos from Africa (while other European zoos would welcome them taking their Black rhino offspring...:rolleyes:)
