Wild Africa - African Wild Dog exhibit (under construction)

The new African Wild Dog enclosure being built at the former Nyala enclosure. There will be a large viewing window at the hut to the right, and a moated view along the front.

Where's the Nyala and gnu currently at?off-display?

The Nyala have been moved to the Night Safari's Lechwe exhibit. The lone White-tailed Gnu is housed with the Zebras at the Zoo.

Have the nyala replaced or joined the lechwe?
Are there still eland at the zoo?

She might still be kicking around, they can live a while. She was in with the rhinos. Did you see her when you were there?

I would have seen her in late November 2011, with the one horn.

The unicorn Eland died circa 2012/2013. The Lechwe at Night Safari are being phased out I believe, there were only a couple of elderly individuals when I last visited about a half year ago.
