Aalborg Zoo - African Village (Tropical House)

The entrance to the African Tropical House inside The African Village in Aalborg Zoo. The interior of this house is shaped to look like an African rainforest. The main attraction of the house is the pygmy hippopotami (Choeropsis liberiensis liberiensis). The African Village opened in 2006 and is the biggest project in Aalborg Zoo’s history. It features wildlife from the African savannahs and wetlands. July 2012
