Aalborg Zoo - Carnivore House (Tiger)
Two of the four indoor exhibits for Sumatran tigers (Panthera tigris sumatrae) inside the Carnivore House in Aalborg Zoo. The indoor exhibit is made up of four different rooms that can be separated. This is glass-fronted and built from the old leopard exhibit. The tiger in this picture had just arrived from Heidelberg and was still kept indoors. The new Carnivore Exhibits opened in 2012, twice doubling the space the big cats have outside. The old house was maintained, expanding the visitor facilities and giving it an Asian theme. The old big cat indoor exhibits remained unchanged except for the old leopard indoor exhibit that was rebuilt to also house tigers. July 2012
