Croc Farm - Juvenile crocodiles
Juvenile crocodiles in one of the enclosures for nile crocodiles at Croc Farm, Antananarivo. These crocs are being farmed for their meat and skin and the park has several enclosures for crocs of different ages. These crocs were the youngest on display and won't be slaughtered for at least five years. At Croc Farms restaurant you can also try a variety of dishes with crocodile meat in. It is actually very yummy! The idea of farming crocs at Croc Farm is to stop the need for illegal hunting of the wild crocodile population on Madagascar. Croc Farm is a privately-owned zoo and crocodile farm just outside of Antananarivo. At Croc Farm you can see mostly native species from Madagascar. March 2010
