Brazilian Tapir at the 'Pantanal' @ Szeged Zoo, Hungary
The Brazilian Tapirs in Szeged Zoo live in one of the South-American exhibits, which is called 'Pantanal'. This is a huge area in the zoo's South-America section: it has got a wetland profile, like swamps and open watersurfaces, but there are open grassy areas and forested habitats, too. Tapirs share the enclosure with Capybaras. This amazing enclosure very similar to the 'original' Pantanal, and animals enjoy that very much. Photo taken August 2007.
