Unknown finch-like bird in Costa Rica)

First thought was a female euphonia, but it just looks off. Doesn't seem like an euphonia to me for some reason. Looks more like a seedeater or new world sparrow to me, but I the yellow belly is not present in any of the CR species of those families No other pics unfortunatly. (seen in Monteverde)

      In my humble opinion it looks like a euphonia of sorts - a female maybe?

      Well I did see a lot of euphonias there. Yellow-crowned, both males and females. This one just looked a little different. Guess that leaves juvenile male (note the little patch of bright yellow on the forehead!)
