      A last ID request for the moment! I think this was in one of the smaller aviaries near the Scripps Aviary, but I'm not wholly sure. As always, help gratefully received..... (from July 2017)

      I' ll take a shot. A Baglafecht Weaver (Reichenow Weaver). The bird usually looks more yellow, but the lighting and green background could be giving us a more orange tone. The black around the eyes varies, but I ws able to find photos that match the bird above. Beak shape matches pretty well as well as eye color and shape. That's my best guess and I know the zoo has had this species in it's collection and in the Lost Forest.

      @lintworm and @timmychompchomp - thank you very much for your help. Timmy: any idea where in the Lost Forest these are maintained? might this have been in the Scripps Aviary (I thought this was where the Reichnow's Weaver was to be seen)?

      Scripps Aviary. The signage is on the bottom level of the Aviary on the path between the Bonobos and the back of the Tiger exhibit.
