Penguin Walk at the zoo

I have seen some European zoos advertising penguin walks. I had no idea a USA zoo does them. (I also have no real idea what the purpose of them is).

I'm hoping the zoo has more than the six penguins shown here though, otherwise it's a pretty lame Penguin Walk.....

I know Cincinnati zoo also does them. Come on AD you should know why zoos do this. its because it's what the kid and mom like and not your average zoochatter like bringing in new species of animal. :)

It is pretty boring and yes chlidonias that's all they use is just six penguins. 1 macaroni penguin, 3 Gentoo and 2 king. but in the actually exhibit theres probably about 20-25 penguins representing the 3 species.

Now, now, the general public likes new additions to the zoos as well. But only if it's a marquee animal, such as elephants, giraffes, a large predator, primate, penguin, or pinnepid.

So that's a macaroni in the photo and not a third king?

Or a panda, unless it's red. Then people are like: "Get that **** outta my face! That ain't no panda!"

No more king penguins after the AZA recalled them, weird world we live in...
