      Lantana sp. often found in butterfly houses due to the long flowering spell and high nector output also the plants look 'tropical' for visitors.

      These were the most commonly grown flowers on street sides etc. in Saudi Arabia (with additional water of course).

      Lantana is probably the most widespread invasive plant species worldwide, as it grows in every tropical region around the world. They are indeed very attractive, but they grow like crazy in suitable habitats and invade farm land and may even hinder regeneration of rainforests in places where it is invasive.

      Interestingly the plant does not form any real problems in his native range, but probably because a lot of hybridization has taken place after it was imported to Europe, Lantana has become a lot more aggressive....

      @lintworm A major pest in Australia. Many birds spread the seeds. Even a piece, which is broken off and thrown on the ground, can regenerate. Very attractive to butterflies and our only flowerpecker, the Mistletoe bird.
