      I believe this is actually a raggiana bird of paradise (Paradisaea raggiana), not lesser. The lesser birds of paradise reside in the same exhibit as the pesquet's parrot. Great shot though!

      @d1am0ndback You're totally correct. Thanks! I just uploaded a picture of P. minor in the gallery (hopefully with right identification this time!;)).

      It looks like this individual has a bald breast. I have seen this with other
      Paradisaea species, is feather loss common with captive Birds of paradise? And has anyone seen it in other collections?

      @cuckooduck I've only seen P. raggiana in Bronx and San Diego before, neither of their specimens has such problem...

      Yes, I’ve seen the entirety of P. raggiana kept at San Diego and Bronx (at the time I visited each, about 20 in total between the two), and there were no such problems. I’ve seen the species at several other zoos and again, did not see this problem there.
