Lemur Housing at Jihlava, 31/05/10

Including Red-fronted and Red Ruffed Lemurs, as well as an exhibit inside the matting-cladded doorway for Grey Mouse Lemurs - these are labelled as Microcebus murinus but we were informed byt the curator that these animals (along with the M. 'murinus' at Prague and Pilsen) are from a new import of mouse lemurs from the same location. They are yet to be formally identified but are probably M. myoxinus or M. ravelobensis. Of course, they don't look a great deal different!

As discussed elsewhere, it now seems the mouse lemurs in question are the newly-described Ganzhorn's Mouse Lemur (Microcebus ganzhorni)
