      I visited this place in May and I noticed the binturongs could also access that birch tree, but it is still a weird exhibit and definitely not a great one. The wooden closet that serves as the indoor housing also looks really small for a creature the size of a binturong.

      @KevinB I agree and it's actually a really poor exhibit. There are two Binturongs (both can be seen in this photo) and one of them parked itself in the entrance of the little hut on the left and wouldn't let the other pass...and so on two occasions the 'loser' had to turn around and hang out by the birch tree. There is simply not enough space in this weird-looking enclosure.

      If the one by the birch slipped he'd be in the visitor area wouldn't he?

      @Great Argus Yes, but that would just mean one more animal in a Dutch zoo for a Canadian visitor to pet. ;) Haha! (joking there...)
