@Luke da Zoo nerd He may look like that but he was actually expressing excitement at me being close to the enclosure. He was rescued from the pet trade so is very humanized and so sadly has never known anything other than captivity.

@Onychorhynchus coronatus Have you heard of T&D's cats of the world? It is a Wildlife sanctuary in central Pennsylvania. I have been there countless numbers of times. The reason Why I love to go there is that they have 4 subspecies of tiger, leopards, jaguars, cougars, lynxes, lions, monkeys, lemurs, racoons, mustelids, bears, ect. The reason why I am bringing this up is because this zoo reminds me a lot of that place. It's enclosures are "meh" But there care for the animals is outstanding. I have never been to such a place that has such keeper-animal relationships so close at T&d's.

@Luke da Zoo nerd No, I haven't heard of that place and I see what you mean. Well what I can say is that Sorocaba zoo really does its best to house animals like this capuchin that have been rescued from the illegal pet trade and the care is outstanding. The problem is that funds are always low in Brazil due to continuous cuts made to public spending by the government. It is a huge and uphill challenge for conservation.
