@ThylacineAlive Given he actually took a quite a few pictures of birds, and uploaded them to boot, there must be some interest anyway! However, I don't doubt he has more interest in bats than birds though! ;)

Haha thanks guys!! Much appreciate all the help. Birds are probably second place to mammals for me. I always try to take photos of any I see in the wild, but never will wait nearly as long as I would for a mammal.

Wondering- how rare to see are any of the birds I just posted from Cave Creek Ranch?

@Giant Eland The nuthatch, cardinal, swallow, and Great Horned Owl are common species found across all of North America.

The Acorn Woodpecker, Western Tanager, Hooded Oriole, Gambel's Quail, Pyrrhuloxia are all very common species in the western half of the United States, with the last three being mainly southwestern species.

The Broad-billed Hummingbird, Mexican Jay, Blue-throated Mountain-Gem, and Whiskered Screech-Owl are all Mexican species that only barley make it into the US. The Mexican Jay is fairly common in these areas, but you should proud of finding the other three, especially the owl.
