Cairns Tropical Zoo 2007 - Snake show

Coastal Taipan in the snake show. Some viewers were almost reaching down to it.

Looks more like an inland taipan to me. ^^

BTW: I doubt that the local Austrian authorities would ever allow me to present a taipan like that. ^^

@Batto Very cool snakes to work with! There can't be too many in Europe though? Do you have access to anti-venom? Or anxious relatives?

@Steve Robinson They're not the most common venomous snakes on the market, but you can get captive-bred offspring quite regularily for an OK price. Antivenom is available, but given the current price development, for how long - ?
