Thank you Anton for sharing photos of a such interesting park. Do you have some photos of the 3 hectares andean bears complex ? I know there are 3 or 4 enclosures but I never seen good photos of them.

@Antoine Thank you! I don't have any more photos than these two below that I've posted on ZooChat. Maybe you already have seen them?

Last time I visited the park was in June last year and then only one enclosure was finished, the one showed in the photos linked above. The other enclosures were still under construction and the whole complex was finished in August. Acoording to what I've heard, the enclosure in the photos above is one of the smaller ones.

My plan was to visit the park this summer but as I live in Sweden there are problems to get into Denmark. The border is closed due to the coronavirus. As Denmark has almost stopped the virus while it spreads widely in Sweden, the Danes are not so interested in opening the border to Sweden. When I finally manage to get into Denmark I will upload the photos here

Thank you very much @Anton and sorry for the photos I missed in the gallery. This first enclosure is large but a little bit empty. Sadly, there are a lot of big trees just behind the enclosure which could have been a great addition. I will be happy to see your future photos of the entire complex and others of course !

Yes I know, it's quite empty. Maybe it's hard to get more vegetation, I read on the park's website that they had problems with the bears destroying the vegetation. They said that the brothers shown in this picture are the worst, much worse than the breeding pair. I think the problem with this enclosure is that it's a rebuilt ungulate enclosure. Before it was just a simple grass area without higher vegetation. Compared to what have been before, I think this a large improvement even if more higher vegetation is desirable.

I think that the other enclosures are much better, I've seen some photos on Facebook and it looked like it was quite a lot of vegetation and also trees in the enclosures. The other enclosures are built in a forest area that hasn't been used before, and I think that's the reason why it's much more vegetation there

@Antoine Now I've finally uploaded some more photos of the spectacled bear enclusores, you will find them in the category of Givskud Zoo.

Below is a link to a photo that I took one year after the ones that we discussed last time and there is a huge improvement in vegetation

@Anton Thank you very much for the new pics. Really happy to see large views of the complex. This must be the best place for them in Europe as with three hectares and three enclosures you can manage a breeding group in very good conditions. Hope to see more facilities like this in the future in other zoos and Givskud follows its way with other natural large exhibit.
