      Looks like one of the Geotrupidae, but I have no idea which species occur in the Alps, probably @Kakapo will know.

      I only took a photo because of the bright blue legs and sides and was wondering whether this was a common feature. Thanks for narrowing it down though :)

      No lintworm, I don't know which species of Geotrupidae occur in the Alps, and anyway, theyre too complicated for tell appart and not possible with this photo. So I can identify it only to family level. By the faint striations of elytra it could be Trypocopris vernalis but it's only a guess.

      @Kakapo Thank you, it looks quite similar. I think the beetle in the photo had a faintly pin-striped abdomen, I just can't find any species that have the seem while keeping the blue-striped legs and sides.
