South american pampa exhibit - general views

In this exhibit are presented : breeding pair of lowland tapirs, capybaras, patagonian maras, rhea, white-faced whistling ducks, fulvous whistling ducks and chiloe wigeon. Previously there were a pair of southern screamer and at the beginning a male giant anteater (these two species have now there own exhibit)

    • snowleopard
      This exhibit looks remarkably similar to a huge South American enclosure at Audubon Zoo in New Orleans, Louisiana. Both have tapirs, capybaras and rheas alongside a plethora of birds, and there is a boardwalk that allows for outstanding views for visitors. Many months ago I posted a number of photos from Audubon Zoo in the gallery in case anyone is interested in the comparison.

      Thank you for the comment snowleopard. I have been watching the pictures of Audubon Zo and it is true that two enclsoure are alike, but that of the Audubon is much greater.
