African jacana (Actophilornis africanus) juvenile

Amora Gedel Park, Lake Awassa: Dec, 2019

African jacana (Actophilornis africanus) juvenile

Could also be a juvenile African jacana, although the feathers look pretty 'complete' so I would go with Lesser jacana.

It's an African Jacana. Note, for example, the frontal shield (lacking in Lesser Jacanas), leg colour, etc. Also Lesser Jacanas are much smaller and have much different proportions - they look more like leggy rails than the other jacanas.

Thanks @Chlidonias and @amur leopard . Yea I really wasn't convinced with my Lesser Jacana guess but didn't take the time to look at how a juvenile African Jacana would look.
