      Unless this is a type of tree hyrax- appears so much darker than the other rock hyraxes I saw

      There are no Tree Hyrax in that area (there is a possibly undescribed Tree Hyrax in the mountain forests of SW Ethiopia though, but could also be a relict population of Eastern Tree Hyrax). Rock Hyraxes can have a lot of variation from very dark to cream coloured even in populations living close to each other....
